Beautiful!!! Love stars! I'm making 12" block stars for my oldest GS. who's now in 10th. Hope I can finish it in 2 yrs. Then the next year, his bro & my oldest GD graduate. SO hopefully I'm getting a good enough head start? Boys are sooo hard to decide for so I went with stars (some included pieces from their PawPaw's shirts, he passed 11yrs ago, they barely remember him). Then next yr another GD, 2 yr rest, then GD, 2 yrs later another GD, then 2 yrs the baby GD. But girls are noooo problem.....

Your quilt is an inspiration. I keep ripping and pressing and stacking those old shirts but that's as far as I've gotten.

The blues look like the chambray shirts my dad often wore in the 50's and 60's. Great looking quilt.

I have started buying "collecting" men's shirts from the charity shops recently in readiness to start a quilt with a sea dide feel to it. Living in Cornwall the sea is always close by. I have gone for mostly blue checks and will use off white/ivory to give a "cottage", sun lounge feel. Many plans in my head, we will see how I get on.

Awesome. Some lucky person will be happy to get it? (Maybe you?)
