Very cute quilt. Unfortunately I'm a hand quilter, so I can only try to understand the frustration with the feed dog. In any case, your quilt turned out beautifully!

That is such a cute panel. I had to giggle at the story though. I've done the exact same thing.

I just love this board! Just like in all of our other life challenges I sometimes think I am the only one that doesn't 'get it' and everyone else's quilts (and lives) are perfect. Your responses remind me that we all mess up, learn from ours, and others' mistakes and move on. Thanks so much for sharing and the kind words. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

and since I've been there too I want to say that you may need to do a little outlining or something on the picture part, when I washed mine I had a wad of batting floating around in that big open space.

Actually, I did. You can't see it in the picture but I outlined all the faces and down the fence and around the flowers. Did it all with invisible thread (boy was that bugger!) on top and light blue in the bobbin to match the background. I probably didn't do enough quilting though-it's a good 6-8 inches in some areas and should have been tighter. I'm hoping my grandson will love this literally to pieces since I didn't put it together well enough to be an heirloom. Thanks for all the great tips.
