Thanks quilt 3311! I believe you are correct on that name. I couldn't remember, tho' I think I knew it once. Would be interesting to see the original pattern. Does it have the cactus square in it? That one made me smile!

Hi Rainbow: We visited Fayetteville long ago. Our kids were probably 7 and 10 y/o. First time for them to see the ocean. (They are now 40 and 43.)

I have the old quilts in my studio, in a cabinet built by my grandfather. It's next to the rocker where I do handwork and watch TV, so I get to see them every day. Hate for treasures to be locked away in a trunk or closet somewhere. If you search "My sewing space" for my studio pics, the cabinet is in the third picture. Can't fit all of them in there anymore.

What treasures! I am so fond of vintage/antique quilts and wish I knew the history of all I've found. Thanks for sharing these!

Thanks for taking the time to show us your great collection. They are interesting and beautiful quilts
And just think, when you're finished you'll have a complete photographic record of your collection!

Oh they are beautiful. Think of all the hours put into them. They all have a story behind them; we can only imagine.

I love the faded look of a long used and loved quilt. Thank you for your gift of time for airing, shooting pics and posting all your gems with us. What a wonderful legacy you have to pass on one day.
