We sure could have used some of that rain in the Texas panhandle, we had 70 mph wind gusts yesterday and fires were breaking out everywhere. The last I heard 61,000 acres burned and about 44 houses in surrounding counties. Whew, it didn't get too close to my area but a little too close for comfort.

Interesting theory, we had thunder and lightening with the snow storm last Friday.

The severe thunderstorms roared across Missouri last night..my immediate area was spared from lots of damage, but across the Mississippi River in IL, the damage was widespread from news reports this AM. Kentucky was hard hit with damages from at least 2 tornadoes.

We feel very blessed today...now the sun is shinning brightly, but it is COLD!!!

HOPE ALL WHO READ THIS IS WARM AND DRY!!!!!

Tennessee is one of the most beautiful states. With views like that how do you get anything done?

Yep, right there with you! Sirens keep going off, Dachies refuse to go outside. Power outages, and school closings. I am ready for it to pass!

Better start looking for higher ground. Its raining heavy in Oregon and heading your way. Sorry. I really need a treadle machine so I can sew when the power goes out...no, I dont sew denim my hand. I may be crazy but I am not insane. :)

We're under tornado watch until 8 PM. We had a storm pass through earlier. Heavy wind, rain, lightning and thunder. My poor dog was scared to death. The sky was so dark, it looked like night time. Thank goodness that part has passed over.

It is raining hard with thunder & lightning now.
Earlier there was a tornado that touched down in the northern part of our county. No news yet on damage.

Some damage in Chattanooga this afternoon. Trees down, trees on houses, trees on cars, power lines down. 25,000 still without power. Just rain at my house.
