    Appliqued Mariners Compass.

I have never done foundation piecing and but love the mariners compass design, so I am trying to do one in applique.Just started to satin stitch the raw edges.

I have never seen one made as an appliqué. It is looking good. One question: How on earth do you get those points so 'pointy'? Fantastic.

Oh my goodness, that is spectacularly beautiful. Your applique alternative is every bit as beautiful and precise as a peiced one. Kudos to you for coming up with such a breathtaking alternative. And this is coming from a big MC fan, it is my favorite design.

So there's more than one way to skin a cat. Your applique mariner's compass is unique and beautiful.

Isn't paper piecing (or foundation piecing) great!!! It makes every point come out correct if you just sew on the lines!!! Yours is beautiful!!!!

    Simply beautiful!
A dog is not "almost human" and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.
