    Thank you all for the lovely comments. I almost threw it out at the beginning, as I had sewn up a lot of blocks not realising my seams caused them to be 1/4 - 1/2" smaller than required. All the sashing pieces I'd cut out had to be altered to fit, after setting the needle to the correct seam allowance. That was a lesson well learned and am pleased I perservered.

    Mine is still a UFO hanging in the closet. Can't decide on a border design. I like yours being so simple.
