Art quilt for donation

Like Watson, I am completely enamored with the breaking wave. Would you share with us how you did the foam? At first glance I thought it might be rickrack I enlarged your pic and it looks to be some sort of crocheted trim that you tacked down where the wave is crashing in on itself. Quite an ingenious use of that. Your use of metallic/holographic thread in the waves is also very effective (can't tell which from the photo). You really put a lot of thought and effort into this. Sorry, no ideas for a name label but I do love your quilt.

After much consideration, I have decided to title this art piece "The Guardian". Since the lighthouse is my distant focal point of this quilt, I researched synonyms and definitions for lighthouse. Through that research, I learned that lighthouses were a beacon of light and a guardian for sailors. Thanks, Red, for sharing your thoughts. And thanks to all who also contributed suggestion.

I think most of usl have experienced the peace that water brings to our lives. The sounds of water flowing or waves breaking on the shore bring a "stillness" and overall calm into our lives. Your "water scene" will bring all that to whomever is lucky enough to hang in their home. Once again you out did yourself...Full disclosure I know Nita and seen all of her works of art and have been gifted some during our friendship and she is a true "Artist" with fabric.
