Well I really thought I had bitten off more than I could SEW, but once I got my head round it, the fans just came together really quickly.

there is a lot of work in this one as the border had spikes as well so this could be a long job.

Oh my, oh my--you are not only talented and clever but have quite the eye for color and design. Lovely! is not a strong enough exclamation but all I can come up with now.

OMG I love your fans! I am a hug 'fan' of Asian fabrics and have quite a collection of fabric and quilt patterns that would be good to use my Asian fabrics but have not started one yet....I hate to cut my fabric, LOL

I'm going to see if I can get the book at my local library.

thank you for sharing, and saying that it isn't as hard as it looks.

warm quilt hugs, sue

Your fabric choices are beautiful! I just finished her "Raindrops" pattern and have this one on my agenda. I prefer paper piecing, tiny tip points turn out perfect. But did I understand you correctly that you are hand piecing this paper pieced pattern? If you do this on you machine you will go like gangbusters! Please keep us all updated. I can't wait to see your progression and other fabrics!

Elle, did you mention somewhere in the posts whose pattern this is? I tried googling asian fan quilt pattern but not finding anything that looks like yours.

thanks

Sherree, I did hand sew these 4 fans because I was a little aprehensive about how they went together, now I know the tricks I will be a little faster with the next 4. Will be a little while before I post again, gots lots going on at the moment and am decorating.
