Asian One Block Wonder -- finished

Dull? are you kidding? It's fantastic! And I love the way you placed those purple blocks to make a secondary hex in the centre, it gives focus to the whole thing. AND I love that you left the edges complete instead of filling in and trimming off. Great jod! It's a really elegant piece of work. :D

Thank you all for your kind words.
To JCL in FL - don't be worried about fabric choice. I think any larger print fabric can make one of these quilts, but they will all be different. My favorite (of my 3) is still the Wal-Mart fabric with dogs all over. Who could know?
And to Esqmommy - I just followed the directions in the book One Block Wonder. She gives excellent suggestions for fabric choice, layering, cutting, stitching, pressing, and layout. And the examples in the book are very inspirational. It was hard for me not to pre-wash the fabric, but it is easier to layer if you don't wash it. Be sure to press the seams open; it does help in putting the blocks together. If you have a 60 degree template it makes the cutting quicker, but I cut my first one with a rectangular ruler with the 60 degree line on it.
