You've made a masterpiece with the attic treasure. Like the others, I really love the blocks and I think your spiral quilting in the center is perfect for them. I can see why your friend give them to you to complete.

Is the top star or twister appliqued on? I can't see any set in seams in the photo.

Someone long ago was way ahead of their time with this pattern, would be very interesting to have met the person that worked so hard on these blocks-hand piecing them. You did a really good job, cleaning it up, setting them anew, love the colors and your quilting.
