I just took a break from sewing an Alabama quilt for my son to spend some time on QB and saw your quilt. I like it!

Yep me too but she is sewing around 48 different blocks not around a top already put together that needs sashing. And if you read closely you will see that we said to sew on the top and bottom strips of sashing last.

I've been putting my sashing on a little different. I put sashing on the right then on the bottom of each block except for the far left blocks. Those I only put it on the bottom. Also the bottom blocks I only put it on the right side. The last block on the far right of the bottom gets no sashing. I then sew all these blocks together & finish it off with borders just like the sashing. If I want other borders I can then add 'em. Clear as mud?

It's very nice and I love the attic window pattern, which I have not made yet, but it is on my to-do list too. Good luck and I'm sure the more experienced quilters will help. Please post a picture when it's completed. I'm learning by all the beautiful ideas I see here on the board.
