My avatar pic is my daughters "Peace, Love & Denim" made from the whole families old jeans I dug out of the attic. She wanted a huge peace symbol on a quilt made from denim. So this is what I came up with. She loves it and it was a huge hit at cheer camp last summer! It is a faux cathedral window pattern I ran across on the net and each colored inset is flannel. Very heavy and warm she says.

It took almost 2 months to finish due to a small problem with finding more variegated thread to sew the flaps(windows) down. I went thru 2 spools in less than an hour one day so had to wait 3 weeks to locate more. grrr! Ended up finishing a few rows with different shades of pink and some purple I had laying around.

These are such beautiful quilts. If this does not give you inspiration then nothing will.

This entire thread reads like a dreamy to do list of all different types and kinds of quilting designs to attempt. It even helped me find a good source for Hawaiian Quilt Patterns... which I've spent hours over the past few weeks online trying to find the right one that is best suited for my husbands best friend that I want to make. The work is phenomenal at every level. I hope more and more add to this member based quilt show!

Explosive blessings, abundance and inspiration to you all!

I'm so glad this topic exists. I've posted this elsewhere; hope it's okay to post again.

This double wedding ring is called "Medley" designed by Elsie Vredenburg and the pattern can be found in the book _Double Wedding Ring Quilts_ (http://alturl.com/o9gkz) from the series New Quilts from Old Favorites.

The fabrics are a compilation from my first year's quilts. I used an 18" wedge and did a flip and sew with fabric on some of the wedges. That got to be too tedious, so some of the wedges are just full stripes of fabrics. Took forever to make, but I'm glad I did this first year's quilt diary. The circumference is 45".
