Will it look funny if I use different fabrics? I have some of the fabrics from the lizards, but not all. I know I don't have any of the lime green left, and I only have a tiny bit of the mottled orange...

What about a checkerboard border withteh white and one of the other fabrics that you would have enough of? Maybe a narrow solid border in between? I also like the idea of adding to the top and appliquing his name or more lizards. Little boys can't get enough slimy, dirty stuff. :0) My little guy thinks dumping the sand right over his head is a great way to play with it!
