I think you did a great job! baby will not think about the sewing it together, they just happy it's theirs! I think their are probably instructions for baby books. I'm sure of it. Anne_G posted she got one with instructions. but you already know that.

Thanks, everyone, for your positive responses! I certainly don't hold this little project up as an example of "how to do it" but I do think the idea is adorable and will probably make another when I figure out how to attach all the pages to a proper binding, as in a real book.

I think toddlers (and parents) would love these soft little books, which can also be washed. Hope any of you who are inspired (not by me but the OP!) to make one will share your photos.
