This quilt was sent to me by Cathy.

This is what she wrote (part):

"The name of this quilt is baby honu (baby turtle) my daughter went to Hawaii on her honeymoon, and brought back their signature fabric, and a pattern. We liked it so much, I decided to order more fabric and save it for her baby."

Isn't that just precious? I love that!

Anyway she wanted the turtles to appear to be swimming...and seaweed in the border. I hope i accomplished that...I hope you can see in the pictures that the turtles are actually 3-D. This is such an adorable quilt...and what a great souvenir.

I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA. I used hobbs poly down batting.

Thanks for looking.

This quilt is so cute. With the quilting it looks like they are swimming in water and are 3D!

Wow - the quilt and the quilting are so awesome - you did a great job making the turtles swim - also the maker of the quilt - what a great pattern - this is destined to become a family heirloom.
