This little quilt is for my niece's baby. I loved the little fairies. I'm a new long arm quilter and learned from this project that when using nearly solids for backgrounds the quilting will really stand out. For my taste, it dominates the actual quilt which is not what I would have preferred but that's a lesson learned. No matter how I took the pictures, the quilt looks really crooked but it's NOT!!

The pattern is from "Quilter's World" magazine, February 2008 and is called "Look After This Bear" by Sue Harvey. So glad I saved it because it's just what I wanted for this fabric.

oops - it's sideways - don't know how to fix that.

That is an adorable quilt! I don't think the quilting stands out too much - it's swirly and contrasts with the squares. Looks nice!
