Default Baby Quilt

I am going to be a Gramma...Yah...I made a strip scrappy quilt...No idea if I am having a GS or GD. I told my son that babies grow so fast that I am going to make the first one a scrappy....He asked if I could make a bigger quilt for him and his child so he can sit on the couch together and read and watch TV...what a tug at the heart...Of course I will and I have the perfect fabric. I will make a twin size, Cat in the Hat quilt.

Nice quilt. When you make the bigger one, consider putting fleece on the back (doesn't need batting if you use a med-heavy weight fleece)--a quilted top and fleece back is a wonderful weight and comes out so "snuggly". Know you will have fun with the new GB.

So happy for you that you'll soon be a Grandma and the quilt you've made is so beautiful, just the thing they both will enjoy.

When your son asked you to make a bigger quilt for him and his child to share a lightbulb went off in my head. I'll do that for an I Spy quilt for my great grandson Jack. I made a small baby quilt for the baby shower but he will outgrown that one and a lap size one for him and his Dad would be ideal. I can include Dad type fabrics and well as Kid fabrics, especially NY Mets and NY Giants as Dad (Bob) is a huge fan of both teams. The quilt will be one they both can enjoy while they watch TV or when Dad puts Jack to bed. Thank your son for the great idea. May in Jersey
