    Very nice quilt but I have to ask why no batting... did you free hand you animals....

    It's pretty heavy as is, and we live in a fairly warm climate. Someone loaned me patterns for the animal heads, and I drew the hands/hoofs based on picture on line.

    It's adorable. I agree With the fleece backing you don't need batting.
