Baby Quilt

Baby Quilt
Last year I decided to try my hands at quilting. Just to see if, one, I could do it; and, two, would enjoy it. I signed up for a table runner class and thought “this could be fun.” A friend of my daughter was expecting a baby, and I decided it was the perfect opportunity to do a quilt. I told her to ask Kirk if he and his wife would be insulted to get a practice quilt. They were game, so I sweated, and occasionally cursed, my way through a beginner quilt. Well, baby Gabe turned one year old in May and I thought he deserved a quilt that may actually survive the washing machine. So here is Baby Gabe’s quilt 2. I’m still learning, but more importantly, I’m still having fun. This is a modification of a block from a Joann Fabrics block of the month class. Thanks for looking.

Great quilt! Very cute!
You did a wonderful job! I do not think that is a beginner pattern! Your points look great! I think of a beginner pattern as having few points--or places that meet that show when seams that are off.
