I suggest doing a Stitch-in-the-ditch along the window frames and nothing in the center of the blocks except the bears. Easy, will make the centers stand out. Good luck, it is a beautiful quilt

Maybe you could do some wavy lines on the window frames, sort of like woodgrain, so that you could get off the lines without anyone knowing and that would give you a chance to practice fmq without needing perfection. Quilt in the ditch around the blocks and then around the picture inside the blocks. Then try something a little fancier on the border. I'm a hand quilter, so I'm not really into designs for fmq, so can't suggest anything specific. Really cute quilt!

I would pick one of the colors out and use that for my back. If you know it's a boy or girl then I would go that way.
