The Back is Prettier Than the Front!

Well, I started working on mounting this piece http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t215558.html this afternoon and just had to take a pic of the back before it gets covered up. I think I may have to do one on a light colored background next so the finished piece looks more like this...what do you think?

Why would you cover that up?

I think I would figure out a way to leave the back uncovered. Maybe just corner triangles and stretcher bars? It looks like a Zentagles portrait of Ben and is totally cool!

I'm not sure how to answer your question; this piece is all FMQ'd. I worked from a photo of Ben, drew some guidelines on the fabric, and after a lot of drawing on paper to decide what to do where, I quilted the designs with poly thread.

Probably about 20 hours of actual quilting time and that much more of drawing and planning.

Oh my gosh, yes, the back is totally gorgeous. I would have a hard time not using it as the front. But I have seen the front and it is totally awesome.
