Basting a king size quilt
This is how a do a king size. I don't have floor space and if I did the dog or cat would try and help and make it worse. So I use fabric strips to pin and stretch. The bottom 12 inches aren't basted but I can do those once I get some quilting done. It's not pretty but it works when you don't have another way to do it.
Edit...I resized pics and hit the upload button....I give up.

I use painter's tape and tape my backing to a wall. Then I spray stick on my batting and finally my top. It's a lot of work. I just bought pool noodles and am trying them. Right now my top and batting are wound on noodles, I just need to make my backing.
Your method looks like it would be a challenge to keep out the wrinkles.
