    This top is from a pattern found in a magazine...an example of simple color study...Bitstream is the name of the pattern.

    Actually I got the pattern on eBay! There are several sellers that cut patterns from the magazines and offer the pages...and then some nut like me comes along and bids to win!

    Of course! The pattern called for these colors. There's three warm and three cool... each needs three...a dark, medium, and light. It really is a color study!

    Thanks, April, it was much easier to piece the top than it was to get the photos from my computer to the Board....I still can't figure out what I did right...LOL. If having a long to do list extends life then most every quilter I know is going to be around for a very, very long time :thumbup:

    Your quilt is fantastic. You did a great job on your color study. If you look at it just right it looks 3-D - like you are looking down on a bunch of colorful skyscrapers.
