But my daughter wanted it because her crib set was a butterfly motif, so I just made her what she wanted. What's everyone's opinion? Good for an infant or not? I'm curious what people think!

This quilt is gorgeous and it would be perfect for a baby. I have talked to several doctors about quilt colors and believe it or not they recommended black and white as this stimulates the baby's vision. Kelela

The 'experts' are now recommending bold, bright, contrasting colours for babies today, no more pastels. I've seen some lovely baby quilts using blacks and whites in them, plus whatever other colours of choice.
My niece asked for a newborn quilt in darker autumn colours, I said "huh?!" but it came out great and I love that kid!
