    Default Batik French Braid

I finished the top and am putting the layers together. I like the way this one came out. I put the braids horizontally instead of vertically.

The white fabric isn't really that bright -- it's a white-on-white butterfly print and it's catching the light funny. There are no solids in this whole quilt. It's all batiks and a black print for the borders.

I don't know how I'm going to quilt it yet, but I thought I would show it now. It's on the floor. Sorry for the weird angle, but it's a big quilt. Queen+

This was on my bucket list of quilts to make. It was fun, but I don't think I'd do another.

Very, very pretty! Where did you get the pattern? I'd love to do one like that.

I bought the book French Braid Quilts by Jane Hardy Miller. I used 1.5 jelly rolls in the Enchanted Pond collection.

This pattern was in the book, but I added the middle black block and black border to customize it. Figured out how many strips I would need for the proper length. The math is in the book to help.

    Thanks!
