Batik Popsicle Sticks, pieced by my sis, quilted by Christine27

My sister pieced this with my mom's new Janome, which my sis inherited this summer. She used a pack of Bali Pop strips, plus fat quarters she bought when my mom was still alive. She and her girls had fun looking at all the fabrics, thinking of how this one or that one looks like something mom would have worn. She came over the Labor Day weekend so I could quilt and bind this for her. She used left over strips for the binding, which I machine sewed with my binding attachment. The more I worked on it, the more I loved it too!

    Thanks for looking!

Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

Wonderful tribute to your mom. I'm sure she would have loved it and appreciated the fact it was made with her fabrics and machine. I can only hope for the same when I am gone.
