    It may be a simple pattern but it's really quite lovely with your colors! I love how you set the batiks off with the black. Congratulations!

    Thank you every one for your kind remarks. I did enjoy making it because my friend is very special, and she has met a wonderful man through the internet, and I swear they are like "peas in a pod" with similar interests, a strong faith, and he appreciates her need to have a work room...... get in there.....and is keen to learn "quilting language" as he puts it.
    One tip I will pass on about the quilt is that I pieced in quarters, thus eliminating the risks of repeat colours next to each other. However I do think it did happen once and I didn't notice. Now to finish a couple of UFO's.

    I just made that same quilt and used Japanese prints for the blocks and black tone on tone for the borders. I love it.
