i added a simple border and binding to complete "Going Batty on the Road to California".

here it is, fresh out of the washer - complete with lint and renegade strings.

it's square - i promise. i just can't get far enough away for a decent photo.

Whoa! Love it! Is this a pattern you came up with? How'd you pick the name?

It's lovely! It really radiates from the center. I thought my computer screen was pulling tricks on me!

That is a striking quilt Pat. What are your plans for it? I have an extra bed it can cover if you don't have the space.

hmmm ... let's see if i can remember everything ...

both of the red fabrics are floral, but only the big squares use the fab with big flowers.

the "receiver" is me. it's for my living room sofa. my other two nap quilts are worn nearly to shreds. they'll get washed and sent off to the kitty shelter in the next town down the road.

i very much appreciate the compliments to my points. i just wish they looked as good up close as in the photo. lucky for me i won't notice them while i'm curled up napping underneath. the rest of the time it'll either be folded up or tossed - so i still won't notice. win, win, win.

feel free to copy the design if you like it. i didn't make any modifications to either of the blocks except to make them 15" instead of 12". i used 8 Bats blocks and 8 Road to California blocks. the radiating design results from rotating them for placement.

thanks again for the kind words. :-)
