Default Bear Aloft Wall Hanging

Just finished this wall hanging for my grandson. The pattern is Bear Aloft by Nancy Chong for Pacific Rim Quilt Co., it is one of their 2 Fabric Applique patterns. I used raw-edge applique and finished by echo quilting instead of hand turn as it is so suited for the softness raw-edge gives it.

Very cute! I love her patterns. Your polka dot fabric is perfect for this one.

Whimsical with a capital "W". Sure to be your DGS drag around until it is in tatters. When you said raw edge applique, does that mean you stitched the applique so that the edges will fray like a rag quilt or did you zig zag or blanket stitch around the raw edges? Either way would certainly work with this fun childs quilt. Edited to add, I agree with Dunster, perfect use of polka dot fabric.
