That...became...this...
On April 26, 2011, I asked some of you what I could do with a roll of pink floral that I had received in this thread. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...o-t119109.html
Many of you gave some suggestions. I decided to start with a rail fence.
I just finished the binding on the top I made last year. I FMQed it a couple of weeks ago (still a newbie there).

What I failed to realize until I actually used it is was that it wasn't a regular width. I ended up trimming it which was quite tedious. At some places it was a full 2.5" wide and others, a very scant 2 1/4".

You did exactly what our ancestors did - they had very little fabric and had to 'make do'. You turned out a treasure with your creativity. Great job! Love the color combination - I never would have thought of using those colors together but you made it all come together with the green making the pinks pop. Love it!

very nice - was that roll fabric a polished cotton. Reminds me of yardage i bought over 20 years ago. I still love it!
I've been using my scrap fabric, not because fabric is hard to come by but because i have so much left overs I am determined to use, not waste. Check out Bonnie Hunters web site - scrap quilts is her speciality. I just love her, her personality, her work. I was lucky enough to spend time with her when she came to speak at our guild a few years ago. Her ideas are wonderful.
