I have decided to finish the 4 patch posy I started. You made some very nice comments and though I said I was going to abandon this fabric and go on to something else, I reread your comments and decided I would finish it using your suggestions and see what I can come up with. It may not read well as a 4 patch psey, but I am taking to heart your comments and only time will tell...

THANK YOU for all the encouragement. I am not a seasoned quilter and you've helped so, so much. What a wonderful group of ladies and gents.

I worked on more blocks at my quilting group yesterday. see them below.

more blocks from that oh, so busy fabric.

I think sometimes we are too close to our projects and need the vision of others! This is a great place to get help and encouragement.

    I like your flowers!

I think the blocks look great and look forward to seeing the finished top. Any thoughts on sashing/border colors? What about a green sashing and white cornerstones? I have this pattern and really want to make one soon.

I also love it... that fabric is not my cup of tea either... but what you have done with it so far is great. Keep up the great work.

Did you go to a smaller block size?

Every 4PP has its own look ... you may have been trying to measure yours up to a look that's impossible. Just as another person's will not match up to yours.

When you come to choosing your sashing, try a very dark green (skip the black) and you'll see the blocks pop! Plus the green will keep the garden effect, that black would not!

It will be gorgeous. I've learned something with every quilt I've made and I'm proud of them all. You should be, too.

 I love how the block centers form circles of flowers. I never would have thought of that.
