I have been wanting to learn collage quilting...while this is a bit different, I had the pleasure of taking Marjan Kluepfel’s Seascape class at MQX. What a fun project...I’ve still got quite a bit to do and once it is quilted, I will add embellishments like beads, yarn, etc...

Marjan is a fabric artist originally from the Netherlands and now resides in Davis, CA (close to my home town of Vacaville) which is where I’m headed on Tuesday. I am anxious to see more of her work at The Artery, a gallery located in Davis on my California visit. Her work is beautiful and she shared a lot of wonderful tips and ideas...she recycles everything. www.marjankluepfel.com

my unfinished project along with one of her amazing wall hangings.
