This would be one way to do it, and I actually contemplated doing it this way... but then just cut 2.5" strips into the size blocks I needed to make the 4 quarters of each block separately. I think I have less seams this way.

Bento is a Japanese box lunch. I lived in Hawaii for 12 years and the little stores made bento for people to come buy for their lunches. The construction workers got the best ones, because they were up and out the earliest in the morning! If you waited til lunch time, you got the leftovers! I have no idea how this quilt design got named "Bento Box", but I love it and the box lunch, both.
