Wow! Just Wow!! Your quilt is amazing! How did you manage to get the two sides to line up so perfectly? Did you quilt it on your DSM? I am in awe!!

What a unique quilt. I love everything about it: the fabrics, the unique design, your wonderful paper piecing, your intricate quilting. Just awesome.

What a very beautiful & unique quilt. I love the design of the quilt with the scalloped edges & the back to make it a reversible quilt. Great work on it & I'm sure mom & baby will love it.

I do intricate backs a lot (though this one takes the cake), and my method is to lightly baste the top and batting, flip them and then mark on the batting where the center/edges/whatever on the top is so I can match the back to it. Take the top off the sandwich and repeat marking method with the back, and then do a proper pin-basting using the marked batting to get everything lined up right.

For the scalloped edges I just made the back a big square and trimmed it back after quilting. And it's hand quilted rather than machine. The one issue is it's not properly bound. I ran out of fabric trying to figure out how to cover those angles, so I just sewed the edges together like a pillowcase and did a blanket stitch over the lot. It'll be interesting to see how well it holds up.

This is one of the most beautiful baby quilts I’ve run across. Hopefully used gently and passed down as an heirloom/work of art. Great execution!
