Default The Best was Saved for Last-Another Antique

My BIL had one more quilt up his sleeve. This one was made by his Grandmother before he was born. (He was born in 1927) It is hand appliqued and hand quilted and again, we don't know the pattern. This one he is taking with him to the retirement center. It is in mint condition and the pictures do not do it justice. It is by far my favorite. I am glad he has decided to take it with him! Thanks for looking!

Wow that one is museum quality! Make sure to sew a label on the back so it doesn't go missing.

Very elegant...I can well understand why he is keeping this with him. A real beauty. Thanks for sharing with us. Many of us love the antique quilts just as much as the new.

I agree re "museum quality." I just can't conceive of the time, effort, patience, skill, etc., etc., etc. required to make a quilt like that. It should have a different name than what I do!
