I did the same thing many, many years ago in every blue and yellow fabric imaginable. Mine to worked and I really like yours. Thanks for sharing as I had completely forgotten about that quilt that was a gift--didn't receive a thank you but it is what it is.

Fantastic quilt! I couldn't stop looking at it! While paper piecing is a good way to work with the biases, you also have to remove all that paper which is a pain. I think using the wash away stabilizer is a good way to avoid having to remove the paper. I might try that idea.
