Your color selections and piecing are awesome. What a wonderful sentimental quilt to honor your Mother!

I just over the past hour have read this thread, and your quilt blocks are so pretty. It will be honor your mom. Mine passed away last March, and I miss her terribly. She was a seamstress and quilter. She always hoped one of her 3 daughters would begin quilting, but none of us did until I retired early from teaching due to my lupus. One day I decided to just sew some blocks together by hand, and make a quilt. Well, I fell in love with quilting/sewing, and haven't stopped. Mom got to see that before she passed away, and I have some of her fabric. Keep making your blocks to finish your quilt. It will be so beautiful.

Finally I got back to this quilt. I decided I have to finish it before I do anything else. The UFO pile is growing and I don't like that.
So here's Block # 8 Pieced Flowers

Ditto! The small border could be the color of the leaves and stem.
