    Black and White Challenge Quilt

I joined in my first challenge quilt! Requirement was the 6 'skully' fat quarters from the 'Shop' and any other black and white fabrics you wanted. We had a month to get the quilt finished (down to the binding). Voting starts on June 1, until June 5. I found that I really really enjoyed making this a bit more modern and using two different quilting designs on it. On the white side, I did straight line quilting and on the dark side, a skully pano. I used B&W variegated thread. Finished size is 52x76. My 20-something year old son claimed it as i was cutting. Happy that he likes it!

put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Very nice! I really like the more modern design, and the quilting.

Nothing better than a satisfied customer. Great use of black and white and every shade in between.

Thanks y'all! To Doggramma - that's one of the reasons I participated in this challenge...the fabric was a wee bit off of my comfort level but I knew I wanted to use it to make one that was still a cool quilt and to show that I could incorporate any fabrics I need to in future projects. Thanks again!

Great job. I love those challenges, it usually gets you out of your comfort zone and trying something new - at least it does for me. At first I am all, I can't do this and then get over that. These have been some of my most enjoyable sewing quilting moments
