Thanks so much girls! This is a two block quilt. I love two block quilts because they can add a secondary pattern if you set them right. I used the centers from the dp4 to make the square in a square blocks.

It is just my own concoction. Thanks so much for the sweet comments. I was trying out the block (d 4p) for a swap and found it would not stand alone as a nice block. So, now I must find another to switch it out with and hope the girls don't mind. Dang! I hate doing it but, I must.

Thanks so much everyone! I am so flattered that you all like it so well.
The center of the square in a square is an inch and a half. It was a byproduct of the D4P that I claimed for the second block to tie them together.
The Dp4 is a block I saw on a blog that a teacher made up. It is made as a regular 4 patch and then without moving it on a rotating mat , you make a one inch cut from the center on all sides from the center. You then flip the rectangles (white to black and vise versa) and leave the center alone. But, I wanted to have the color in the center, and I changed it out to the coral. That left the begining of the other block done like a square in a square. That's is it. Pretty simple, but I like that way it turned out.
The fabric I started with was the michael miller coral fairy frost I just fell in love with and shopped for the rest.
