Not sure if this is called churn dash or what :) A friend is havin a baby girl and I'm trying to get this one finished by May 8th. Her favorite color is purple so I think these blocks alternating will be perfect.

Happy Quilting Everyone! If you have any ideas about boarders or how to put it together I am all ears. Thanks for your input I'll check back in a couple days :)

I want to say it's name is something like Wedding Ring, but darn, I can't remember!

Anyway - I do love it.

It's reminding me to either a Wheel Block or a Wreath Block. I love the colors and really want to see it when it's done!

I have a book that has this block listed as Wedding Ring..so you were right. =)

I think a Piano Key border would set it off nice. Be a nice visual.

I think it is called a Snowball Variation or perhaps the Rolling Stone. Pretty fabrics.

RkayD I think a piano boarder would look good to! I'll try it since I've never done one before :)

Also, what size are your pieces and blocks if you don't mind? I'm going to copy you with some light and dark varied floral fabrics for my mom :)

Pretty! Like the modern mixed with traditional look. I've seen it called a Shoo Fly block as well.

In the center, I'd almost like to see it without any sashing before really deciding. Especially since the blocks are direct opposites of each other. I think it would look great without sashing.

Borders.... wellllll..... Unfortunately, I tend to be a bit further along before I'm totally decided on those.... It all depends on the middle, and what else the quilt may need to make it look great. I audition a bunch of idea until I finally settle on something.
