    Love the pattern and the blue fabrics...just beautiful! I agree that continous curves would be gorgeous on this. Please post pictures when it's all finished

    It's Verona by Heather Finnell and is a free pattern from Blank Quilting. It's dated 2008. Since it is a free pattern I could mail you a copy if you can't find it, but really it's two very basic 12" blocks. The blue flower is embroidered. There is an error in the printed pattern so if you do download it, be aware.

    Thanks so much for all the suggestions and compliments. The recipient will probably be my motorcycle riding buddy. She and I have been riding together over 15 years and have had good times. Neither of our husbands is that into motorcycles so we leave them at home with their ballgames.

    The fabric and colors of the fabric are gorgeous. I think that any quilting that doesn't take away from the patterns in the material would be great.
