    I shudder to think what sort of math it took to have it fit so perfectly with all the squares!! Very pretty too!

    It isn't attached. I just laid the runner on the bookcase. The bookcase was my Grandmother's, so I don't really want to use glue or Velcro.

    Ha! The math grinch that sat on my shoulder while I tried to figure out the math had a field da, because math is NOT my strong suit! I finally resorted to graph paper and got real lucky. This is the first project that I have designed, no written pattern, so it was a very pleasant surprise to have it work out fairly well. Hubby is a machinist and a whiz at math, and got a good laugh at how I went about determining what size to make my squares.
