I recently saw a pic of a border that was quilted with just straight lines, closely spaced, going the length of the block. I thought to myself, "how simple yet very nice looking." Due to the curve in your pieces, you would have to fan them a bit.

What about a scattering of smaller flowers appliqued around the header? Do you have more fab? If not...hand quilt smaller flowers in random pattern using pink thread.
