LOL.......sounds like something I'd do.!! As a matter of fact I did something similar on Tuesday. I had someone ask me to make them a Bow Tucks. So I go to store to pick fabric, pick and buy one piece that I already have 2 previous purchases of in my stash!!! DUH!! Old timer's is really catching me faster than I want it to....

Now for those who wanted to know:
1. these are both the larger bow tucks totes
2. the pattern is by Peggy Sturges and produced by Quilts Illustrated--it can be found on many, many websites.
3. Now for the fabrics:
a. Martha's tote:
top fabric: F423 Shakespeare's Flowers by Fabric Freedom
bottom: Krystal Lilies by Marianne Elizabeth of Vintage & Vogue for P & B fabrics
Inside lining fabric: by Faye Burgos for Marcus Brothers fabrics
b. Sarah's tote:
top: Whispering Glen by Debbie Beaves of the Violet Patch, by RJR fabrics
bottom: Heirloom Lilacs also by Debbie Beaves of the Violet Patch RJR fabrics
inside lining fabric: Garden Twist Collection II by Sharon Evans Yenter for In the Beginning Fabrics --I don't think this one is available anywhere anymore.

Thanks for all the kind compliments!

I have been using a mini bow tucks bag I made over the winter..and with all my stuff and my granddaughters stuff in it...We are in need of a larger one. I have the larger pattern. I think Chloe and I will need to make the new on with the whispering Glen.

Really pretty, love your fabric choice. I love the bow tuck bag so easy to make and fun too. I will be showing my GD how to do them when she comes to visit next week. She is always looking for something to sew.

My granddaughter, Chloe is only 19 months old. She hangs out in my sewing room and tears all the books out of the book case. She will sit on the floor and look at all the pictures..then points and tries to say quilt..it comes ill..close enough. Nana knows what she is saying.
Shaysmema, I think you do have a furture quilter..great project for her to start with.
