Great finish, Nancy. I know what you mean about the time and not doing another!
I saw the original quilt when it was posted and thought "I like that". Then the tutorial came up, but I didn't read it right away. When I did, it was 3 pages along. And it was a good thing too because I didn't care for the way it was constructed. After reading everyone's take on making the block I took the ones that worked best for me and started. This is not a quick block. I used Tartan's method of combining two triangles and squaring to 8 1/2 and for me it's the best way. BUT, it's taking forev...............er! I don't like too many projects going at once.(can we say clutter) so this has to get done. I am at 40 blocks (2 triangles per block) and I decided to do 50 and enough to finish the edges and maybe a black inner border and a piano key border. Maybe. Scrappies should be more fun than this is turning out to be.

I'm glad to see how yours came out, I've started mine but alas, the scrap pile is high, time is limited and church Spring Fling (quilt/yard/plant sale) quickly approaches. Still have two 1/2 quilts to quilt for that.

It looks really good. Very different looking so that is good but if it is not fun to make that is not good.
