I think PatriceJ summed it up nicely! It's absolutely stunning! OF COURSE your Mom's gonna love it! She will not only notice it for it's beauty, but she'll see every stitch of love you put into it!

Oh WOW! That just takes my breath away. You must have put in hours and hours on this little beauty! It was a treat to my eyes. Very, VERY nice job Izy! Love it. :)

What detail! I love it, it is beautiful. You should be proud.

I know what you mean about our own worst critic. My sister wants me to enter my black and white one in a contest, and I won't do it. I know the miters in the corners aren't right, and I know where I messed up on my stippling. I still may try to do one for a contest, just not that one.

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments, my DH has just made a dowelling frame for handing it...I haven't made a typical hanging sleeve, I found on the net a simple way of making triangle pockets on each corner, you can slip doweling into each corner and it keeps it perfectly square!!

I am going to start a new post with some pictures so I can share the technique incase some of the newbies like me find it easier!! :D :D
