Beautiful quilt! We happen to be neighbors. I have not been to Ocala yet, but plan to visit your quilt shops soon.

You'll like the local shops, plus we do have a JoAnne's and Hobby Lobby. They're all on Route 200. Be sure to check out the Trenton, FL quilt shop as well. They have just opened an old fashioned soda fountain!! When you want a different drive, check out the DeLand shop...and there are a couple on the coast near Daytona/Ormond. Can you tell I"m addicted?

    I'm sorry you'

I love this quilt! I think Stonehenge fabrics are so beautiful & they are perfect for this pattern! Your friends certainly are lucky to get such a wonderful gift!! I'm sorry you're homesick, tho I understand. I miss living in KS & get really homesick for the flat expanses of landscape.

If you'd like to visit WI & see all the eagles we have here, I'll take a quilt just exactly like this beauty... LOL!

This is a beauty of a quilt - now your friend will be "the hostess with the mostest". Lucky her. I know what you mean about missing the NW - I grew up there and miss it a lot!!

A very nice host gift for your friends and a beautiful job by you. Love the stonehenge fabrics and they all compliment each other. Thanks for sharing

KLO, we are three miles from Silver Springs and our well water is from that aquifer. We have lived here twice before and only back to take care of my 84 year old Mom. The summers are brutal, but that's when I quilt. We left our son and DIL in Seattle. Beautiful horses and rolling green farms here. Hope you like your new area better.[/QUOTE]

We are now in NC and it's been brutal here this summer but that heat in FL is just so much stronger. Since I am originally from the northeast, I guess I just don't handle it very well. (We lived on NE 2nd Street in Ocala.) And I have to get out of the house now and then especially to attend my quilt group meetings.

And darn if we don't have something else in common!!! My middle son lives in Seattle!!!! How's that for a co-incidence?
