Sorry no help on the quilting, but I have to ask, did you pick the fabrics individually or was it a kit? I think your color selection is beautiful.

When I got my longarm I practiced on friend's UFO's until I gained good control. I would do feathers top to bottom in the braid. But I love feathers. You could use a panto centering it in those areas too. The top is so pretty, it deserves a lovely quilting pattern.

I think feathers would work for your quilt, but I love feathers in every quilt, LOL. Looking forward to seeing your quilt when it is finished, Good luck to you.
