    The Log Cabin block which was originated in the 1860's to honor Abe Lincoln, has traditionally always had a red or gold center square to signify the hearth, or fire burning in the center of your home.

    I've never seen a log cabin quilt I didn't like! I need to make one again as I haven't for several years.
