Like the log cabin pattern, my daughter has choosen that pattern for her grandmother to make her for her wedding quilt when she gets married--not soon. Her grandmother will make it this fall -- in shades of blue -plaine colors no prints, my daughters choice. My mother has only two grandchildern, my son has choosen a double wedding ring in colors of beige and purple-plain and prints, for his grandma to make for his wedding gift-when he gets married.

yes, the center block is usually red, the meaning is for the heart of the home. At least that is what I was told. Lace

I haven' made one yet .My frist one is going to the the floral log cabin. your block is lovely. I think your quilt will be great for a chilly night
